And there it is: Aristotelis continues his new and highly appreciated series. Actually we already have the 3rd video, but let’s highlight “Go faster! Engine and Gearbox”:

I always had the opinion that Kunos’ physics guru Aristotelis has a special gift to educate about anything regarding racing. There’s a category in this blog, trying to summarize his rare posts and I’m even drawing the whole maybe-AC2-wishlist topic under the headline “Aristotelis’ racing school”. Yes, I’m a fan here, and today Aris made his fans very happy:
Nice little gem around Aero phyics and the corresponding delevoper app:
User garyjpaterson kindly explains the cryptic values in the “Wings app”. I will paste the both parts here for accessibility, but if possible please view the original post for updates and further discussion and comments. We already have some.
Assetto Corsa 1.12 arrived. Patchnote length is significant, despite the end of the world.
Tough decision. Will I post the context to some kind of “community breakdown”? Sadly, yes. Let’s have a short bookmark to not one but two remarkable points. Somehow both developed simultanously in the same thread, and couldn’t be more different.
Somehow, we have a new topic in the AC community: AC2. Somehow, there are little-to-no surprises. We don’t have any real news, but this isn’t even required. Most contributions express the subjective fantasy and priorities, which makes them a boring read. Most? Yes, there is one I must not lose in the depths of the official forum.
The initial motivation behind this blog was to create some kind of index of information, so I could quickly look up things without all the spam in between. If there is one story you want to collect the current statements and later compare it to the results, it is now: Kunos was sold out, and the world is going to end. Or similar.
Not only since Stefano’s latest stream people are getting really excited about Assetto Corsa 1.7. I am as well, but not for everything. To be honest I’m afraid there will be a huge disappointment and I already feel sorry for the Kunos guys who are working hard on the next version(s).
Stefano live demonstrated the false start with drive-through penalty, and that gave me some thoughts. Careful: High amount of opinion!
This valuable post tries to collect things new guys starting out with AC. I think the reason is the Steam summer sale, but if you look to the near future AC gains many more members due to the Console release at 26th of August (30th for North America).
Having good starting points are very important, especially for a product like Assetto Corsa. Although I advise to keep your eyes on the initial forum post (and contribute, if you can!) I’ll have my own take here – and try to keep it up-to-date.
